Privacy Policy

What data we collect
- Account data — your email address and an optional display name.
- Recap inputs and outputs — the topics, URLs, or text you submit, and the AI-generated recaps you save.
- Usage history — counts of recaps generated, plan, and billing period.
- Subscription data — plan and status (handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers).
- Technical data — basic logs (IP, user agent, timestamps) used for security and abuse prevention.
Why we collect it
To run the service, enforce fair-use limits, prevent abuse, send transactional emails (account verification, billing), and improve recap quality.
How we use it
Your inputs are sent to our AI gateway to generate a recap. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your saved recaps to train third-party models.
Your rights
- Access & export — download a JSON file of your profile, saved recaps, usage history, and subscription from the Privacy Center.
- Correction — edit your display name and marketing preferences in your account.
- Deletion — permanently delete your account, recaps, usage, and subscription from your Account page, or by emailing support. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
- Marketing opt-out — toggle marketing emails off in Email Preferences. Transactional emails (verification, security, billing) will still be sent.
Cookies
We use essential cookies/localStorage for sign-in and security, and optional analytics/marketing cookies you can manage from our Cookie Policy.
Data retention
Saved recaps are retained until you delete them or your account. When you delete your account, your data is removed from active systems immediately. Operational logs are retained on a rolling basis for security and debugging.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Database access is enforced with Row Level Security so users can only see their own data. Service credentials are stored server-side and never exposed to the browser.
